Jeannette Rankin was the first woman elected to Congress. She also was an avowed pacifist and voted against the U.S. entering World War I. She lost her seat in Congress and won it back 20 years later -- just in time to be the only member of Congress to vote against entering World War II. This 1 inch celluloid has a St. Louis Button Co. back paper, is from the 1940 campaign. Excellent.
Jeannette Rankin, Montana
