President Dwight Eisenhower paid a visit to the Illinois State Fair in 1954. Fair organizers estimated more than 200,000 people turned out to catch a glimpse of Ike during his visit to Springfield. Only a few of them wore a pin like this. It’s a 2 1/4 inch celluloid with a small bump that was made for members of the press who covered Ike’s visit. Only 25 of these pins were made, so it's a very rare Ike item.
