Herbert Hoover was born in a two-room cottage in West Branch, Iowa. Orphaned at age 9, he left West Branch and went on to much bigger things. This old, extremely rare celluloid pin was made for a special Hoover Day held on Aug. 21 at West Branch. It pictures the home where he was born. As far as we know, it is the only one known in this design and is a 1 1/2 inch celluloid in excellent condition.
