An exceptional Grant-Wilson jugate ferrotype from 1872. This extremely rare pinback is in exceptional condition. Unusually sharp ferrotype that is as good as you’ll ever find for this item. Brass frame, similar to USG 1872-35. Grant’s running mate Henry Wilson was a Massachusetts shoemaker and anti slavery advocate who died in office in 1875. Grant jugates from 1872 like this one are much harder to find than 1868 jugates.
