General U.S. Grant stares at you from atop this scarce Victorian trinket box. Sometimes called Staffordshire boxes, porcelain boxes like this one were a big favorite during the 19th century and featured many different designs. This one is special because it features a bust of Grant. The box is five inches tall and features some really ornate work. There is a chip in the upper left portion of the bottom half of the box as shown in the second picture.
