U.S. Grant and Schuyler Colfax team up on this beautiful and rare ferrotype from 1868. You rarely see a Grant-Colfax ferrotype pinback in this kind of condition. It’s a 1 1/8 inch item that helped sweep the Civil War’s biggest hero into office in 1868. Excellent condition. It’s the mate to Item No. 3, the Seymour-Blair ferrotype, which also is in excellent condition. This great ferro in such outstyanding condition has had the fourth most hits of all the lots in this auction.
