Wendell-Northwestern Inc. of Minneapolis created this campaign button to get Minnesota voters in gear with Hubert Humphrey and Roy Wier. We all know Humphrey’s story, but Wier is not so well known outside of his home state. He served in Congress from 1949-1961 after being active in trade unions and serving in the Minnesota House and on the state board of education. This 2 1/4 inch celluloid was made during one of Humphrey’s U.S. Senate races and is excellent.
