Back in the 19th century when they wore those cardboard collars they had to have a place to store them. Here’s the answer: a collar box with an image of President James Garfield on top. The 4 5/8 by 3 3/8 inch deep wooden box has a gutta percha top. Missing clasp on front and a few of the tacks holding the clasps on back.
