Ben Cheney and Martin Rutrell were two New York teenagers who were implicated in a murder spree in the Carolinas and Florida in 1970. Cheney’s brother, James, had been killed by KKK members in Mississippi in 1964. The two claimed they were forced to go with a third man, Lindsay Thompson, who did the killing. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid pin was part of the effort to free the pair of teenagers. Excellent condition.
