Assistant Secretary of the Navy Franklin Roosevelt ran for US senator in New York in 1914 ... and lost in a big way. Tammany Hall politician James Gerard captured 62 percent of the vote while FDR won a little less than 30 percent. This 7/8-inch celluloid is rare, early FDR pin. Whitehead and Hoag back paper, excellent condition.
