The Republican Party was 70 years old when Calvin Coolidge ran for president in 1924. This very scarce celluloid pictures Coolidge with two giants of the early Republican Party: John Fremont, the first Republican presidential candidate in 1856, and Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican elected president in 1860. It’s an interesting trio, to say the least: Fremont was a flamboyant explorer, Lincoln was a master storyteller and Coolidge talked only when he had to. The unlisted 2 1/4 inch celluloid has a J.H Shaw back paper and is in excellent condition.
