The depression of 1893 led to a swell in support for free silver – using more silver to back U.S. currency, hence adding to inflation and decreasing the debt of many Americans. The issue came to a head in the 1896 election, with William Jennings Bryan and the Democrats backing free silver. This rare 7/8 inch celluloid pictures Bryan and Arthur Sewall and promotes the cause. Excellent condition.
