Famous orator Robert Ingersoll gave James Blaine his Plumed Knight nickname – and it stuck. This rare ribbon shows the Plumed Knight and was made for a member of an executive committee supporting Blaine. The 8 inch ribbon has an Oct. 25, 1884 date – just a few weeks before the close of that close campaign. Excellent condition.
