Bill Clinton's interminable speech nominating Mike Dukakis at the 1988 Democratic convention was widely panned. He started to restore his reputation with an appearance on the Johnny Carson Show, where he said, “I wanted so badly to make Dukakis look great, and I succeeded beyond my wildest dreams." This 2 ¼-inch celluloid is in excellent condition. Al Anderson collection.
