Germany did not participate in the 1939 World’s Fair in New York after the World’s Fair Commission objected to the use of the swastika. That didn’t stop this rare pin from being made – it’s a German Day celluloid made by American Bund printer Gerhardt Hoffmann. The date is just a few months before the invasion of Poland. This 2 1/4 inch celluloid is in excellent condition. This first time offering for us has the 4th most hits of any item in the 2nd Session.
