You just couldn’t get rid of Grover Cleveland. Elected in 1884, defeated in 1888, elected again in 1892 and then there’s 1896. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid pictures Cleveland with pictures of children the lists the Democratic REM doctrine – Reliable money, Equal rights, Monroe Doctrine. This pin from the 1896 Democratic Convention in Chicago is a very rare Cleveland celluloid with a Whitehead and Hoag back paper. Very tiny edge clip at 2 that does not show from front, overall excellent.
