The New Jersey pin from the Eisenhower state set always has been the most highly sought after and valuable pin in the set. It serves as the key to collecting all 48 states. The reason? Rich Trimble of the A.G. Trimble Co. told us that Gus Miller of the Republican National Committee lived in New Jersey and controlled the distribution of the New Jersey pins. The secret of what happened to most of them went with Gus when he passed away. That’s the background, here’s the pin: it’s a 1 1/4 inch celluloid that has gone for more than $1,000 in the past.
