Two of America’s greatest passions are baseball and politics. The two join forces on this spectacular cartoon pin from 1940. This rare Willkie pin is one of the true classic pins of that era. It shows Wendell Willkie getting ready to put the tag on Franklin Roosevelt while an umpire calls FDR “Out at Third,” referring to Roosevelt’s third term. The 1 1/4 inch celluloid has some edge stains on right side, front of pin still looks great. An exceptionally rare pin with ingenious concept and fantastic artwork.
