All we can say about this James M. Cox item is, “Wow.” It’s a magnificent piece created for Cox Notification Day ceremonies in Dayton, Ohio, on Aug. 7, 1920. The 8 1/2 inch ribbon is imprinted with gold lettering and is attached to a framed celluloid image of Cox and Democratic National Committee pin at top. A sensational item, excellent. This ribbon is #5 in terms of people watching it in this auction.
