George Washington Eagle 1789 Inaugural Medal

From the very first presidential inauguration in American history! This 1 3/8 inch token is listed in Sullivan as 1789-3. It bears an eagle and sunburst to symbolize the birth of the new government. This sample is a bit rough and shows wear, but still very presentable and with original loop on back intact. Every great collection needs a GW and this one is available at a very good price.
