Franklin Roosevelt offers some help to John Miles on this 1938 New Mexico coattail pin. Miles was a relative unsown, nominated to run for governor when pro and anti New Deal factions selected him as a compromise. This 1 1/4 inch celluloid helped him win the general election. He later served a term in Congress before retiring from politics. Another rare FDR coattail item – this is the first time in 15 years we’ve offered this item. It has a St. Louis Button Co. back paper and is in excellent condition.
