A rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid from the very beginning of John Kerry's political career. Soon after returning from Vietnam, Kerry was supported as a potential Democratic congressional candidate. This red and white celluloid is from that effort, excellent condition. Kerry attempted to challenge Rep. Philip Philbin, but first had to get the congressional district's Democrats to support him at their caucus endorsement meeting. That support went to Bob Drinan, who won the general election.
