The giant Ferris Wheel was such a big hit that other giant amusement rides were sure to follow. This 1 1/2 inch celluloid is from the 1897 Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition held in Nashville, Tenn. It pictures the world’s biggest see saw, a 225-foot-tall giant. This was the same event that inspired the replica of the Parthenon that still stands in Nashville today. Excellent condition.
