The Detroit March to Freedom was held on June 23, 1963, and is considered the largest civil rights event of its kind up until that date. The march included Dr. Martin Luther King, who delivered a precursor to his “I Have a Dream” speech which took place weeks later in Washington, D.C. This scarce 2 3/4 inch celluloid is from the landmark Detroit march and is in excellent condition.
