William Boldenweck was a candidate in the 1901 Republican primary for mayor of Chicago. Boldenweck was born in Germany and hence was a big favorite with German voters, which went a long way back in 1901. He lost the primary to Elbridge Hanecy, who lost the election to Carter Harrison Jr. This scarce 1 1/4 inch celluloid with Geraghty back paper is in excellent condition. Tough Chicago pin from Bob Rouse collection.
